Picked up a lawnmower today from a guy from uni (thanks Richard!) so we could mow our overgrown lawn.

Here's a before and after picture!

Cat mowing the lawn

Teehee!

PS I walked to uni, I'm so proud of myself! Means I can go have a couple of drinks after reading group though so definitely worth it!

Te he he. I've been looking at the radar, and it looks like it might have been raining at home.

Let's see what my lawn is doing after a few weeks away...

Been vaguely rainy here all week in the 'bra ^^

But I suspect that's more than just a week's worth of growth, isn't it? :)

Reminds me of summer when I'd go visit dad in SA. He'd just wait for the 1m worth of grass to die come summer and the drought. The dog managed somehow never to get bitten by any snakes. So did I.

Teehee, yes ^^; unfortunately the little hand push mower like yours that we borrowed from next door wasn't enough to tame this beast! Hopefully this will get the job done right :D

Your method is probably less tiring as well.

Good luck with the taming!

This makes me very glad I don't have a lawn any more.

*thinking back to mowing the casa lawn*

I think all good lawns need a tractor to mow. Or kangaroos (plus, food, yummy).

Anything less just deserves to be paved over.

I guess we should be glad our lawn was dead on arrival :) Good job there.

Lawnmower anyone?
Know anyone with a lawnmower I could borrow? Ces wants the yard to look nice for the holidays and the grass has gotten quite long, though not as long as someone else's that I have seen pictures of.

Your help is appreciated. :) :) :)

Re: Lawnmower anyone?
Hi! Yeah, sorry, I discovered I couldn't actually lift it into the car myself >< and since my housemates have all gone away I'm waiting for Nicholas to come help me out today :) I thought I sent an email about it but I'm in the middle of switching mail servers so maybe something bungled along the way >< Sorry for the inconvenience!!

Re: Lawnmower anyone?
No worries :) Transporting lawnmowers can be a tricky thing, sometimes requiring a structural engineer or a time machine (but this usually just makes things worse -- we wouldn't want to get it permanently stuck in your car).
